I was a little nervous about this one going into it. As a secondary character Phineas was sometimes portrayed as an urban African American stereotype. To be far, this series is pretty silly and he was not the only over-the-top character, the Russians were Boris Badenov-esque and the Frenchmen are of the Maurice Chevalier/Pepe LePew variety. And when this was started with Phin and his little brother getting all pimpified at Leroy's House of Class I was worried that my fears were justified. But that was thankfully short lived and once the meat of the plot and the romance started there were no more uncomfortable stereotypes around. In fact, the romance between Phineas and Brynley was one of the more moving and emotional romances in this series.
